Just finished a good match with Skyhawk. He started slowly, but got better as the match progressed. Unfortunately, by then it was too late.

Giacomo and I had an epic battle. Giacomo was flawless thru 8 holes, and I missed one green and two putts, thus found myself down 3 holes thru 8. After getting on the green on the 9th and making eagle, we turned the corner with Giacomo up 2 after 9. I got a well-needed lucky AHO on 10 and we were within one after 10. One pushed hole and then Giacomo went into the trees on 12. After 12 we were tied. 13th hole was a push, then Giacomo went "splash" on the 14th. Going into 15 Snap was up a hole. I left the approach a hair short on 15 and Giacomo got on the par 5 in 2 and made the putt, thus we were all square after 16. A great battle at this point, but on 16 I went AHO for eagle and Giacomo took an honest birdie. Going to 17 with Snap up one, Giacomo left it a bit short of the green and I put it on and made the putt for bird, while Giacomo couldn't connect with his pitch.
Great match, really was:
Snapjack won 2 & 1
Thanks for the great game Giacomo, see you in the WiiGA. Look forward to playing with you next season.

Going to 17 with Snap up one, Giacomo left it a bit short of the green and I put it on and made the putt for bird, while Giacomo couldn't connect with his pitch. Great match, really was: Snapjack won 2 & 1 Thanks for the great game Giacomo, see you in the WiiGA. Look forward to playing with you next season. I confirm Snap's report- he won 2 & 1. It was an epic battle for sure. After I was up 3 starting the 9th hole I had one thought in my head: this is Snap- the lead is NOT safe! Sure enough, he pulled a non-AHO eagle on nine to cut the lead to 2. Well-played, sir! The AHO at ten was a well-played shot. Sometimes you get a gift, but sometimes you get only a slight nudge. This was a slight nudge. And now I'm up 1. Knowing the lead wasn't safe was one thing- protecting it was another! The 12th hole at Harbour Town hates me. 12 mile an hour wind blowing in, with a slight degree of direction toward the trees. I have wound up in those trees more times than I can count. So I carefully measure a distance away from the trees, counting for the wind, and hit 95% so I don't go into the rough across the fairway. Pretty well planned and executed except for one thing- I still went in the trees! Even up. The splash down on 14 was just a badly executed shot. Tried to hit 95% into the wind, and wound up hitting only 88%. Immediate, wet punishment followed, and I'm down a hole. Then, unexpectedly, Snap left me an opening at 15, and we were all tied up again. Make no mistake: Snap gives me an "honest" birdie at 16 and simply says he had an AHO to go up a hole. Baloney! That is the first time I've seen a planned AHO. He layed up his drive and then hit either a long approach or a short iron and holed out. No way was there luck involved. Well-played, sir! So at 17 I'm down 1 and unless there's an AHO lurking at 18, we're both going to take birdies. So my only chance is an AHO ace at 17. I've done it before, so I took my best shot: a low percentage of a slightly longer iron. No luck- I came up short, and the match was over. Snap- one of the most enjoyable matches I've ever played! Thanks! G.

Just finished a roller coaster of a match with Twist. It was back and forth the whole way. I let the shot clock expire on the 10th hole, while Twist hit the trees on 16, which proved to be the difference. I finished 1 up.

Whoah! What a great match with Riz!
I went one up with a porkypig fairy assisted eagle 2 on hole 2. On hole 3, we both found the green with our driver- Riz Eagled and my putt from the fringe just lipped out. All Square.
So it stayed until Hole 8 and Hole 9. Two more lip outs for me for par, two birdies for Riz, Riz up 2 through 9. I got a hole back on 10 when Riz got bit by the shot clock off the tee switching from Driver to 3 wood. Short pitch-in birdy for me, par for him. Riz one up through 10.
After matching birdies on 11, rather than playing it safe and making sure to make the green past the pin, I tried to make a perfect shot and came up just short with my wedge shot on Hole 12, landing in the sand. Fine shot out of the sand missed by inches. Birdy for Riz, par for me. Riz up two. --This, I feel, was the hole that cost me the match, not hole 16.
I got one back on 13 when I holed out (assisted?) a short wedge for eagle 2. Birdy putt for Riz left the match Rizzo one up.
So it stayed until 15. After Riz had birdied the par 5 hole, I rolled in a 47 foot eagle putt to bring the match to All Square with three holes to play.
On 16, Riz got his only AHO of the match for eagle two. Thank God for that shot from the fairway. Because, see, I hooked my drive into the trees and settled for the par. If he had birdied, I would have been tormented my failure. At least if I was going to lose this great match, it was nice that it was on a perfectly executed shot by Riz. It would be nice to think that I could have matched that shot from the fairway, but alas the porcine AHO gods had already smiled upon me earlier in the match. Riz had won the hole, but he had earned it. So after 16, Riz was once again one up.
And that's how the match ended. After we both birdied 17 & 18, the final was Rizzo 1 up.
It's hard to imagine a loss as exhilarating as a win, but if there ever was one, this was it! Unlike my epic match with my friend Buddah, on this day, the better player won. Special thanks to Snap and TheJokker for helping me get some practice rounds in to prepare for the match. Good luck in the rest of the playoffs, Riz!

Well that was fun, Tazz and I had another EPIC golf battle and he was not about to go down easy. We went stroke for stroke most of the game and both had a little trouble on a couple holes. I would get up a couple holes and Tazz would make a great shot to get one back. He never allowed me to find my comfort zone and made me work for every hole. This was a slightly conservative game on both our parts which made for a game without any trees or water as far as I could tell. Tazz pulled a hole back almost every time I made a mistake. This match was fun Tazz, I look forward to competing against you at the WiiGA.
Final was TheJokker - 2 & 1
Thanx for the game Tazz, you got me with that darn Tazzmanian Devil Spin on the last hole. Good game and good luck next season.
Hopefully I don't get SNAPPED out of the play-offs in my next game with snapjack, better go fill my liquor cabinet for that one.

WOW, now that was a fun match with snap, my hands are still shakin a bit. We tied the first hole and on the second hole my ball came down a bit late and slowly rolled right in front of snap who was lining up his shot, haha, this distraction caused him to slightly under power his putt, TheJokker 1 up. We then went blow for blow until I missed my putt on 7, tied up. We tied 8 but I found the green in one on 9 and putted for eagle, TheJokker 1 up. Well snap hit 10 well and I was off the mark, tied up. Stroke for stroke until 13 when snap actually missed a putt, TheJokker 1 up. Stroke for stroke again until snap popped in an eagle on 16 to tie it back up. Stroke for stroke to finish it out with a tied match. Where the heck are those darn 'Golf Fairies' when I needed em on 18?
Ok, now what snap and I are discussing in chat trying to decide protocol for this situation, apparently this was the first tied game with match play (guess we have a new rule coming). I challenged snap to a 'Last Man Standing' drinking contest for the winner but I'm not sure if we were both equipped with that much booze. After discussing the issue with hoghead it was time for a 'SUDDEN DEATH' match.
So snap fired up a room while I slammed down a couple more 'Flammers' to get ready for this. TheJokker seems to have ticked off EA sports with his last email so he has had some trouble finding games in the lobby, so snap agreed to allow me to use Mirage because her buddy list works for a game invite.
Well snap fired up the front 9 at Harbor Town and we started our next 9 holes. Of course we went stroke for stroke through 6 holes and 7 was the my putt for the match as snaps putt rimmed out, This was an EPIC match if ever there was, 25 holes to determine the winner. This had to be the most fun I've ever had in a round of golf, thanks snap.
TheJokker 1 & 0 (after 25 holes)
