Welcome to DGA! If you just take a look around the board you'll get a very good idea of how things work here as far as requesting/joining tourney games. Here are some links in particular to check out to help you get an idea of what to do:
The DGA strongly recommends that all players use the chatroom which is located at the top of the web page next to the logout icon. See the example below.
The Chatroom is extremely helpful for coordinating pre game and making last minute adjustments if an extra person shows, when games fail to connect, etc.
